Practical Advice

Avoid pulling the trigger when the magazine is empty to minimise wear on the firing pin.
When work is complete, set the impact force on the thumbwheel for impact force preselection (7) to relieve strain on the tension spring.

Carefully set the tacker head (1) down on the material. Soft workpieces (e.g. pine wood) could be damaged if you press down too hard.

Eliminating Jamming

Single fasteners can become jammed in the shot duct. If this should occur frequently, contact an authorised Bosch after-sales service centre.

  • Place the power tool on a flat surface.
  • Press the magazine release (13) and pull the magazine (12) out of the back of the tool at the same time.
  • Remove the jammed fastener. Use a pair of pliers for this, if required.
  • Slide the magazine (12) back in until it clicks into place.

If the fastener cannot be removed in this way, the shot duct must be opened (see figures E1E2):

  • Release the trigger .
  • Remove the rechargeable battery  from the power tool.
  • Empty the magazine (12).
  • Remove the protective cap (18).
  • Undo the screws for opening/closing the shot duct (3) using the hex key (22) and remove the shot duct cover (2) by moving and lifting it so that the shot duct is open.
  • Remove the jammed fastener. Use a pair of pliers for this, if required.
  • Close the shot duct by fitting the shot duct cover (2) and pushing it all the way to the stop on the power tool housing.
  • Tighten the screws for opening/closing the shot duct (3) using the hex key (22).
  • Refit the protective cap (18) .
  • Refill the magazine (12).

Changing the Protective Cap (see figure C)

Note: It is not permitted to work without the protective cap (18).

You can replace the protective cap (18) with a wire guide cap (19).

  • Release the trigger (5).
  • Switch the power tool off and remove the battery (10).
  • Pull the protective cap (18) off the tacker head (1).
  • Fasten the wire guide cap (19) to the tacker head (1).
The power tool can now be put back into operation.

Note: Tacking with a wire guide cap (see figure D).
