Practical advice
Note: Do not position the nozzle (1) too close to the workpiece that you are using the power tool on. The resulting air blockage can lead to the heat gun overheating.
Rechargeable Battery/Energy Consumption
Generating heat is associated with high energy consumption. The higher the temperature (boost setting), the higher the energy consumption and the faster the rechargeable battery is drained. Most applications do not require a boost setting.
Application examples | Standard setting | Boost setting |
|---|---|---|
Shrinking cables | x | – |
Removing labels/stickers | x | – |
Removing paint residues | x | x |
Igniting charcoal | – | x |
The heat gun is suitable for short-term applications. Due to the high energy consumption, it is not suitable for prolonged use (e.g. stripping paint off large surfaces).
Note: Several rechargeable batteries are required for prolonged applications, for which a minimum capacity of 4 Ah or higher is recommended.
Full power, i.e. maximum temperature and high air flow, is only achieved with rechargeable batteries with a minimum capacity of 4 Ah or higher.
